Destiny Alpha First Look, PS4
Until last weekend I had let Destiny slip from my radar, then amid the blitz of info from E3 came the news there was a limited Alpha and it was very, very soon.
So, here are a few in game shots I grabbed.
As for the experience; Destiny is a very polished product, beautiful and atmospheric environments in a well developed world. The combat while showing off its Halo roots is nicely paced and lends it self to the open nature of the game. Character models are well realised, the weapons handle differently and look superb and the always online drop-in drop-out is incredibly fluid. Not forgetting the crisp, clean nature of the user interface, menus are minimal and functional with a very modern design palette.
Overall if the Bungie minions are still working hard on this product it’s going to be a doozy once October rolls around. There’s a pile of screen grabs on the next page, with some youtube gameplay below.
Hanging out at The Tower.
Droppin some Fallen.
My shiny red coat.
My sweet ride.
Chillaxin while a Fallen Dropship cruises in.
Taking in some sights.
Beautiful shading, particle effects and other geeky things.
Finding a quiet spot.
I love the ‘sit’ button.
Who are these people in my game?
I really love the ‘sit’ button.
Yes, there’s a dance button too.
What on earth happened here?
One last sit down…
An atmospheric spot.
Glorious reflections.
Some nice environment work around the place.
