Byte Size – ESO Elsweyr Review (Xbox One X)

OK, so firstly I must apologise for the delay in getting this review done. I have only just been able to consistently log in to the ESO servers in this last week. Now every time a new DLC is released for ESO there is a spike in users and some problems are expected but typically you get in within a few attempts. Not this time.

Welcome to the land of the Khajiiti, cat-like desert dwellers, famed for their prowess in the mercantile arts. Elsweyr is a diverse land of grasslands and canyons. Unfortunately the growing of Moon Sugar has been rudely interrupted by the return of dragons to the area.

Fallout 76, PS4 Review

There’s nothing quite like taking a risk and Bethesda have done that with Fallout 76, you could argue that its a natural evolution along the path of Elder Scrolls online, but disgruntled fans appear to disagree.

For a game that has made “Country Roads” a re-popular tune, on social media at least and given fans the opportunity they have craved to live in a Fallout world with other people; it was ambitious and has delivered on promises for the most part, but it seems to be the little things that have people most hung up.

For my part, I quite enjoy it, but I tend to make my own way in Bethesda games. Poking around nooks and crannies, filling my pockets with everything I can carry and generally ignoring quests until I stumble upon them kind of leaves me in a quandary – am I really the target audience?

Fallout 76 does what it says on the tin, its an online multiplayer Fallout game where you can choose to venture on your own or set up with a group.

Wolfenstein 2, Nintendo Switch

We do love a bit of rebooted Wolfenstein in this corner of the web, the franchise has brought old school style shooters back to the fore along with as much gore your stomach can master.

So hearing about it making its way to the Switch was a surprise given the Nazi bashing adult nature of the game and how it would sit with Nintendo’s family fun image.

Fear not BJ fans, its (mostly) all intact and relentless as ever.

Now we wait. #Wolfenstein3

The Elder Scrolls Online–Summerset Review (Xbox One X)

Welcome to Summerset.

The latest province to open up in Tamriel via expansion pack. And a beautiful holiday destination it would make. Home of the High Elves and even rumoured to be the birth place of civilisation as we know it, a serene and peaceful place, well until those pesky Daedric Worshippers showed up.

I guess the plan is to rid the place of these fellas so you can kick back on the beach with a Colovian Amber Ale or two…
