The MXGP 2020 world of motocross and dirt bikes is not foreign to me. I have ridden MX and more recently Enduro race bikes, for many years. So, I do have context for how a race Motocross bike should feel, and frankly, explains why MX games have never grabbed me in passed installments.
MXGP first hit in 2014 and I dipped my toe in the water on the xbox 360… and hated it. The bike control felt so, so wrong. The technology of the day just wasn’t up to the task at hand. MXGP 2020 on the PS5 is quite a different beast, I’m pleased to say.
Granted it is far from a AAA title, so some minor failings need to be forgiven. But it’s a small price to pay to play what is a relatively niche experience for Consoles.
