Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance

This takes me back, Dark Alliance was a hit in our household during the early noughties. Recently married we’d happily cosy up on the couch and smash out night after night of Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance. Followed by Dark Alliance 2, Champions of Norrath, etc, etc. For the time the games hit the mark square on, playable, fun and mechanics that made sense.

Google might tell you Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance is one of the best D&D video games, I’m not here to disagree. This re-work is coming from Black Isle Studios,

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Review (Xbox One X)

Welcome to the Stolen Lands of Golarion. You are the Pathfinder, the Kingmaker. Under the direction of Jamandi Aldori, ruler of Restov, you have the chance to make a fair chunk of these lands yours. All you have to do is assemble some companions and get rid of the Stag Lord and his bandits. Easy enough.

I’m absolutely loving Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Even despite a few glitches it has. The biggest problem it has? Launching so close to Wasteland 3.

Wartile, PS4 Review

There is something about Dungeons and Dragons mini figurines in Wartile.

They connect straight into a deep nostalgia for me. Having a group of friends round a table, surrounded by packets of chips and fizzy drinks. All laughing and dungeon crawling into the small hours of the night.

This is what Wartile taps into in a way. It’s tabletop gaming from the comfort of your couch and TV.
