Rise of the Ronin, PS5 Review

That sweet middle ground of an immersive open world RPG, combined with the challenge of a From Soft game has always been on my Wishlist.

Now, before you take a breath to scream…” Elden Ring”. Yes, it was wonderful! But for me, the story and world lore were too convoluted to be engossing. And the combat, the bosses in particular, was just too hard for me…….so, a wonderful game, but not fun.

Aliens: Dark Descent, Review

Set 20 years after the Aliens 3 movie, Dark Descent focusses on Tantalus Base, where a Xenomorph outbreak has occurred.

Sifu, Byte Size Review

Difficulty in games is a tricky beast. Sure, some gamers like it “rough”, but others fear the savage Game Over screens of old.

Developer SloClap have released a game which I really, REALLY liked for about an hour or so, then grew to hate.

Persona 5 Strikers, review

I wasn’t prepared for Persona 5 Strikers to be such a Persona game. By that, I mean that when I heard this was a mash-up of the Dynasty Warriors combat with Persona 5.

My assumption was that it would be primarily an action title, much like the recent Hyrule Warriors franchise. Do not fall into the same assumption.

This is a lengthy Persona 5 sequel with the turn-based combat swapped for more action-oriented engagements.

Wartile, PS4 Review

There is something about Dungeons and Dragons mini figurines in Wartile.

They connect straight into a deep nostalgia for me. Having a group of friends round a table, surrounded by packets of chips and fizzy drinks. All laughing and dungeon crawling into the small hours of the night.

This is what Wartile taps into in a way. It’s tabletop gaming from the comfort of your couch and TV.
