Lego Horizon Adventures, PS5 Review

Lego Horizon, I suspect it is bit of a coup for Sony, getting Lego so on-board with their Horizon franchise.

Up until now Lego games have been reserved for the biggest of IPs, like Marvel, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. And with a couple of caveats, I can say Lego: Horizon Adventures is a worthy entrant into this storied sub-genre of games, especially with how next-level gooooorgeous it is.

Especially in the hands of some during COVID lockdowns and undoubtedly on the coattails of LEGO Masters success.

BrickResales should be somewhere every LEGO lover knows about.

LEGO Bonsai, Botanical Collection

LEGO Bonsai, not a couple of words you’d expect to put together. Being a growing fan of the complex interlocking building system as an adult, I’m not surprised.

As a child I loved LEGO as much as the next kid, I had the classic Space Cruiser and Moonbase – they were happy days. After that we grew apart for a while.

LEGO, James Bond Aston Martin DB5

It’s a little talked of fact, but LEGO gets more sexy the older you get.

As a small boy I enjoyed my LEGO spaceship (which seemed to be enormous), as an adult I can appreciate the set’s wonderful design, joy to build and marvel at how compact and bijou it was… That was me a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, here I am in my late, very late forties loving LEGO and getting all excited about wonderfully crafted city blocks, Ghostbusters Headquarters and Millennium Falcons.

Then before I could take the plunge and convince the grown up I live with that it was ‘all for the kids’ LEGO undid me, they went and released the Aston Martin DB5, the only car I ever cared about and I had to have it.
